That feels like so long ago. He's really grown up since then.
No, this really isn't that sudden. It's been building up for a while. I guess it all started with Half Nelson. It was strange, after Hercules, I really had no idea he'd be in my hometown of Brooklyn. But things just happen that way. I should have known then that this would be a long love affair. I'm not going to say I was staying with you for the convenience and comfort, but it *might* be true. See, Ryan has a hectic schedule. We were both in relationships when things really got steamy. I don't know if you've seen the Notebook, but it really took my breath away.
I guess things really came full circle when I saw what a fantastic father figure he was in Blue Valentine. I mean, who could help but completely fall for someone with such a way with children? Not I. The interviews that followed only sealed the deal. His charm, intelligence, and down to earth manner really won me over. But Drive. I think that was the moment I knew. Not Crazy, Stupid, Love. That shit was purely physical, but I'll admit he showed his ability to make me laugh. No, it was Drive. His strong silences and aggressive nature, his devotion. That was that. I knew I had to leave you. I knew, right then, that I could never love another man. That nobody could compare.
