They say bad things happen in threes. Well, I've noticed a pattern this month, and it doesn't stop at three. I know at least six couples that have broken up this month. Three of whom lived together. I know way more that have had devastating fights. What's the cause? Some say Spring is in the air, school's almost out for summer. Maybe they're noticing the opposite sex has started to shed the layers of winter clothing, providing a more tempting meal than what you've got at home.
Maybe people feel more comfortable splitting with their significant others because we've already celebrated holidays like Christmas or Valentine's day. Nobody really feels guilty for breaking up with somebody too close to Memorial Day or Cinco de Mayo. Perhaps it's because we've all left hibernation. We no longer need a partner to keep us warm on cold, winter nights.
