Advantages of Dating in The City

I am sitting in the Oak bar in The Plaza feeling a tinge similar to Jay Gatsby questioning my infatuation with the so-labeled 'shallow" beautiful women moving in and out of my life or at least the bar over the past 3 hours.

Yes, so I am on my 4th single malt and I am contemplating the advantages and disadvantages of dating in the city versus some other city. 

Advantages:

In this City, you have a plethora of alternatives and because of that you can become truly astute in your "second date" choices when you have concluded so many firsts.

So, #1 choices.. #2..anonymity

Where else can you pull off 2 dates in the same neighborhood in the same night.

#3.. opportunity

Even not so good looking guys can get dates by the fistful in this city (case in point: author)

#4.. inculpability

One date, one dinner (sometimes not necessary depending on the girl), one drink (well try 10 drinks, but that wouldn't work with my sentence), one deed, one early morning taxi home.

Now, because this is NY this is a two sided street and the women are just as happy after this result, well at least I hope they are.

#5 Longevity

Been here for years, still doing the same thing without question of morality.  No end in sight.. Why should I stop dating? and for disadvantages.... none I can think of.

So, for now I will sip my whiskey and look fervently for date #2 tonight.  Don't ask what happened to #1.
